Zomato has changed its name to Eternal Limited!
Zomato has officially changed its name to Eternal Limited while continuing to use its popular food delivery brand name. CEO Deepinder Goyal explained that the name change reflects the company’s expansion beyond food delivery services and is a part of its long-term mission for perpetual growth. The company now operates under four business units, including Zomato, Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure.

After entering the BSE Sensex on December 23, just a few weeks later, Zomato decided to change its name during its 17th anniversary celebrations. The Zomato board has approved the change of the company’s name to "Eternal Limited." However, the food delivery brand will continue to be called Zomato. CEO Deepinder Goyal mentioned that this name change reflects a unique perspective. He described it not just as a name change, but as a mission statement. "When we acquired Blinkit, we thought about heading in a new direction for the future. We felt that the name Eternal was appropriate for expanding beyond food delivery. Now, I feel we’ve reached that stage," Goyal explained.
Eternal Limited will have four business units: Zomato – Food delivery services, Blinkit – Grocery, instant delivery services, District – Restaurant support services, and Hyperpure – Supply services for restaurants. Goyal expressed pride in Zomato being the first tech startup to be listed on India's Sensex. He believes this will bring more responsibility to the company’s future. He further mentioned that the new name signifies perpetual growth and a long-term mission. With this name change, Zomato is focusing more on expanding its business scope, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the company's future.
