Nearest railway station is Rishikesh Railway Station, 216 km away. You can take buses or cabs from Rishikesh to Gaurikund.
By Road
Gaurikund is the last motorable point before Kedarnath. From Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun, buses and taxis are available to Gaurikund.
Trek to Kedarnath
From Gaurikund you need to trek 16 km to reach the temple. Trek is tough but offers breathtaking views of snow capped peaks, lush valleys and gushing Mandakini River.
